I have chosen to raise funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne) to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). I am joining the fight to end Duchenne and I hope you will support me.

Working in critical care during the Covid-19 pandemic has been physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging. My passion for trail running has been a source of daily meditation and self care throughout these tough times. Traversing across the state of Virginia via the Appalachian trail (550 miles) has been a dream of mine, and last year I set an intention to make that dream a reality. I will start my journey at the southern terminus of the Virginia AT, at the TN state line (Damascus, VA) on March 27th and proceed north bound with a goal of reaching Harpers Ferry WV in 14 days, which is on average, 40 miles of tough rocky terrain per day. I will be supported by a crew of amazing individuals who are donating their time to help me accomplish this expedition. Please join me in honoring a brave young warrior named Cole, as he continues to battle Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Duchenne is the most common fatal genetic disorder among children.
