Hello family & friends,
Please support me as I participate in the Race to End Duchenne at the 2019 Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon on November 17, 2019. I will be running (walking….running/walking…) the 10k portion of the event. Together, our team and sponsors will go the distance to end Duchenne.
One of my closest and oldest friends, Angela Morrow, has a son, Ryan, with Duchenne. Angie is the strongest woman I know. Duchenne is the most common fatal genetic disorder among children. It affects young boys, Ryan, being one of them. To date, there is no cure or treatment to stop the progression of Duchenne. Those with Duchenne, like Ryan, are truly in a race against time as their muscles deteriorate further each day.
I have the honor of working with Angie and I see her and her husband Todd fight for their son and their family on a daily basis. It is truly inspiring. The health of my children is something that I often take for granted. Angie and Todd do not have this gift. I don’t usually ask for donations; but, this is a cause that is worth reaching out for. Please help us put an end to the devastating disorder by making a donation or joining our team.
